ESSENTIA Magazine is a FREE quarterly Christian e-mail magazine designed to encourage single moms (and all moms, moms-to-be and all dads can benefit) on various issues regarding life and parenting.  The purpose of our "Soul in the Mirror" Weekly is to force each and every one of us to take an honest evaluation of ourselves, daily.

Topics.  Topic of choice is up to the writer. ALL EM submissions (editorial & picture) must have a Christian theme throughout. The goal of our main editorial category, "Adventures" in Single Mommyhood, is to illustrate the true application of scripture in overcoming and/or dealing with everyday life challenges as a single mother from a Christian perspective; these articles should be biblically based, personal in tone and full of real-life anecdotes.

Format/Bio. Articles should be double-spaced. GIVE YOUR ARTICLE A SHORT TITLE.  Please send your manuscripts via e-mail in a Microsoft Word document attachment.  On the first page of your article, you must include your address, phone number, a brief autobiographical paragraph, including your current place of worship, vocation, family, etc.  EM is unable to provide compensation; you will obviously receive name recognition, as well as inclusion of your business or organization, should you provide one. Submissions without these requirements will be rejected.

Submission Deadline.  We accept submissions year round. ESSENTIA Magazine will be e-Distributed quarterly the last Wednesday of January, April, July and October beginning 2009.

Due to space limitations, we cannot guarantee that your work will be featured in our magazine.  ESSENTIA Magazine reserves the right to edit articles for length and content, and we reserve the right to reject work we feel is inappropriate for our audience; remember, this is a Christian magazine.

Adventures in Life and/or Single Parenting:
Any topic of your choice relating to life or your role as a Christian single parent; incorporate how you use God's word in dealing with the situationi.

Arts & Crafts:
Artists, designers, illustrators, décor, how-to crafts, photographers and graphic designers (.jpg/.gif attachment), or if you have an online portfolio, please send the link.

Poetry:
Published (if you own the copyright) and unpublished work (you must own the copyright). Please include title of your poem.

Mission Trips/Travels:
Mission trip destinations; stories of experiences. (microsoft word attachment); .jpg/.gif photographs can be included.

Recipes:
Love to cook?  Cook with your child(ren)? Share your favorite delicious dishes. (microsoft word attachment); .jpg/.gif photographs can be included.
